ABOUT ME
My name is Cici Drzik, a late-diagnosed neurodivergent with a degree in theater and seventeen years experience working with small children—most recently as a behavioral therapist to autistic preschoolers.
I keep an altar in my home, and there, among the sacred this and that, sits my first library card—issued when I was six. I can remember very clearly the reverence that I felt when they put it in my hand. Books–I understood–were magic, and that little bit of card stock made my relationship to them official.
As an adult, I've had the privilege of watching that magic unfold itself in the daily lives of countless children, and have here attempted to weave a little of my own.
Thank you for having a look.
