What if Max from Where the Wild Things Are had attention issues instead of anger ones?
In this story we spend the night with a child who CAN'T clean up for bed because their stuffed Giraffe, Raff, says that they HAVE to finish building their block city.
None of the stuff that's supposed to happen before bed happens, and at the moment when it would seem that their fight against sleep is lost, we seamlessly enter the child's dream where Raff helps them to escape! It's all a lot of magical fun–until the consequences of those neglected chores wind their way into the dream space.
Born out of my interest in creating an "it was all a dream" experience in picture book form, this story is sure to captivate the child’s imagination while offering caregivers a relatable narrative to reference in gentle behavioral guidance.
